50. In all cases where Épargne Placements Québec is notified that a participant’s designated account has been closed or that the account holder has been replaced, has become incapable, is under tutorship, is under a protection mandate or is deceased, Épargne Placements Québec may suspend all payments until it receives new payment instructions or sufficient proof that the instructions received are valid.
The rule also applies if the account holder is a partnership or legal person that has been dissolved, amalgamated or liquidated or has otherwise ceased to exist, or is a terminated foundation or trust.
